Lets chat I would like to know about the type of sessions you are looking for. We can get to know each other from our initial consultation. Do you want inside or outside or both. We can decide what works best for you and your scheduale.

Booking To book your session, I will send you a contract and invoice for your retainer. Both will need completed to hold your date.

Prepare Once you are officially booked, its time to prepare for your session. Feel free to ask any questions along the process. I have linked sites to purchase clothing below!

Session Before your session I will reach out to confirm our date and time or feel free to contact me. If the forecast is questionable or someone isn't feeling well we can talk about our options at this time. Again, if you have any questions or new ideas let me know.

Maternity Sessions are typically scheduled toward the 30+ week mark of pregnancy. Your session can be on location, in your home or in studio. Your significant other and children are welcome to be in the photos, but there will be times that focus is just on mom. I have a client closet of dresses that I provide along with any outfits you choose to wear.

What should I wear, I have a client closet of fantastic dresses that are complimentary to your session. You are welcome wear a more casual outfit and then change into one of mine. If you would like to come to the studio before hand to view dresses we can set a time up for that

What to expect during the session, we will take things slowly so you don’t get too tiered. I will guide you through poses and also have some where you just move around and laugh and giggle with your partner. If you need to sit and take a break that is no problem.

After the session, I will get a sneak peek posted for you to view and share on social media. I allow up to 2 weeks for editing and getting your gallery to you. You then will be able to view and choose your images for download as well as ordering more prints and digitals. I offer lots of great products to display your art work and to gift images to family and friends.

Here are a few link recommendations if you choose to purchase your own wardrobe as well as suggestions for dad and kids. Print credits may be offered in exchange for letting me keep a dress for my closet

Newborn Sessions are marked on the calendar for your due date. Once baby arrives we need to be in contact to set up your session date. In studio posed sessions are recommended within the first couple weeks of babys arrival, in home lifestyle sessions are able to be scheduled up to 2 months of age.

In the studio, I keep the temperature nice and toasty so baby is comfortable even during naked time. So mom and dad may want to bring a cooler shirt to wear after their photos.

What should baby wear, dress baby in jammies to keep from having lines and creases on skin. I have many wraps, headbands, and hats for baby to wear during photos but feel free to bring outfits. Just keep in mind most clothes are bunchy on baby and may not photograph well.

What should I wear, you will be in a few photos with baby so dress in a nice solid shirt, your legs most likely wont show so you can be comfortable from the waist down. I have a dark background and white background that I use for family photos. If mom would like breastfeeding images, I do a have some dresses for that or you can bring your own outfit.

What to expect during the session, expect the unexpected, at least I do. There will be potty and poop accidents but please don't fret. It happens all the time and I am used to it. I do plenty of laundry. Plan to feed baby at least once during your session. Feedings and changings are part of the reason newborn sessions take longer. Feel free to bring a bottle and pacifier to help soothe baby. I will be holding and calming baby most of the time, so you feel free to relax. I take these sessions much slower, another reason these sessions take longer. I try to keep the environment clean, calm and relaxed.

What about my other children, If baby has siblings, bring snacks and drinks for them. Being cute is lots of work and they may need the nutrients to push through ;-) Also, consider bringing something for them to play with or having dad take them for a car ride once they are done or even have grandma pick them up. I have a small kids space they can play at as well. Weather or not they are interested in the new baby I will do my best to incorporate them and hopefully get those sweet sibling moments.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I am a mom as well so I know how hard this new time can be in your life. If I haven't lived it myself I have had a client, a family member or a friend live it. I love to hear your story of labor and delivery and how your first days with baby are going. I find it all so fascinating. Also, if you have any questions about breastfeeding or being a new mom I would love to help as well or point you in the right direction.
